Michigan SLA awards scholarship to Lisa J. Wheeler
(Dec 2008) The Michigan Chapter of the Special Libraries Association has awarded master's student Lisa J. Wheeler a $600 scholarship to be used toward books and tuition.
Wheeler earned the scholarship, which is awarded annually by the statewide organization, based on her demonstrated activity in SLA student chapter events and her dedication to special librarianship. She serves as secretary of the SLA student chapter at the School of Information. Wheeler's peers at the School of Information nominated her.
Wheeler, who is from St. Ignace, Michigan, holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Eastern Michigan University. At the School of Information, Wheeler is specializing in Library and Information Services in the Master of Science in Information program.
