What Can I Do with a Career Interest in Information Economics, Management and Policy (IEMP)?

The IEMP specialization prepares students for a variety of occupations, both traditional and emerging. IEMP graduates generally follow a career path within one of the three IEMP areas: information economics, information management, or information policy.

These graduates obtain employment in a variety of venues, including IT consulting firms, corporations with internal IT consulting departments, research organizations, government and policy organizations, and nonprofit organizations and foundations.

Successful organizations, whether for-profit or not-for-profit, need to know the cost and value of creating information capital and how to package it. Because IEMP graduates are prepared to understand and manage the unique properties of the information society, information-rich organizations often hire these graduates.
