While at UMSI

MSI internships not only provide students with practical skills and knowledge; they also allow students to meet and connect with other professionals in the field. The relationships that Marci formed with the organizations she interned with have led her to her current career.

"The PEP internships have proven to be the most valuable to my career success.  I did internships with both the U-M Taubman Health Sciences Library and the National Center for Integrative Biomedical Informatics (NCIBI), both of which I work for now."

After UMSI

"After graduating I was at the National Cancer Institute-Frederick, but I maintained a collaboration with NCIBI — teaching on NCIBI tools, conducting a joint usability study, etc. This collaboration allowed me to bring new opportunities to the NCI-F Scientific Library and NCI-F researchers. Now I am back at the U-M Taubman Health Sciences Library and working closely with NCIBI," she says.
