SI SpotlightSanjeev Shrivastava (MSI '01)
"Clearly understand what SI has to offer, talk to current and former students, sit through some classes, talk to the faculty, and if you feel this is the right place then go for it and enjoy every moment of it."

Before SI: Earned a bachelor's in engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Started the grad program in engineering at Duke, then decided SI was a better match with his real interests and transferred to U-M after his first year.
At SI: Worked as research assistant with Professor George Furnas developing the BITPICT interactive pixel rewrite system, work that led to his coauthorship of several papers and conference presentations. Interned at U-M's Technology Management Office, on a team writing a business plan for an electrical engineering professor's start-up, a plan that pulled in $11 million in funding.
After SI: After graduating, took a position as senior business analyst at A.T. Kearney. Now manager with Ricardo Strategic Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in automotive and related industries. "Management consulting is a fast-paced and very exciting career. I'm getting to work on projects from different industries with very smart people and learning a lot."
