Alumni Society Board
The School of Information Alumni Society Board is a group of alumni volunteers who provide leadership to help support the school. The purpose of the board is to stimulate a continued interest in the school, work with the school to attract outstanding students, keep other alumni up-to-date with the progress of the school, help the school meet its needs for financial support from public and private sources and to encourage fellowship among faculty, alumni and students.
The Alumni Society Board is composed of a president, vice-president, recording secretary, student representative, six directors and six regional directors who serve as representatives of the areas with the highest populations of UMSI alumni around the country: Southeast Michigan, Chicago, Washington DC, San Francisco Bay area, New York City, and Seattle.
Each member of the board serves on at least one subcommittee of special interest.
