University of Michigan School of Information Commencement Ceremony

At the end of each Winter (April) term UMSI holds a school wide commencement ceremony to honor its graduates. At this ceremony you and your guests have the opportunity to hear from school leadership, a keynote speaker, and graduates’ names are read from each of the UMSI degree programs. Students who will graduate in the preceding Fall term, end of Winter term or following Summer term may participate in the school-wide commencement ceremony. 

You are eligible to participate in UMSI’s 2025 Commencement Ceremony if your graduation term is:

Fall (December) 2024
Winter (April) 2025
Summer (August) 2025

U-M also has two (2) Commencement ceremonies each academic year: Winter (April/May) and Fall (December). For more information on the University of Michigan's commencement ceremonies please visit the U-M Commencement website. Please note that UMSI does not hold a December commencement ceremony.

I will graduate in Winter (April): Fall (December) prior to your final term or Winter (April/May) end of your final term

I will graduate in Spring/Summer (August): Winter (April/May) prior to your final term or Fall (December) after your final term
