UMSI Culture of Care Community Gathering, featuring community members sharing a meal. The event is Thursday, October 15, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Dow Room (LCSIB 4320), with remarks streamed on Zoom at 12 PM. Open to UMSI students, faculty, staff, and alumni; RSVP for lunch at umsi.info/events.

Join us for the UMSI Centennial Celebration Culture of Care Community Gathering! During this annual event we are taking the opportunity to celebrate UMSI’s centennial by highlighting past, present and future efforts to create an inclusive community where faculty, staff, students and alumni are empowered to contribute to the school’s mission of using information and technology to create a better world. UMSI community members will get to contribute to a centennial time capsule and enjoy food from Jamaican Jerk Pit! Lunch is provided on a first come, first serve basis for those who RSVP to attend in-person. 

All members of the UMSI community are encouraged to come!

Agenda: 

  • 11:30 AM - Doors open for food and informal mingling and optional activities
  • 12 - 12:20 PM - Remarks livestreamed
  • Remaining time - informal connections and optional activities

Format: 

  • This is a drop-in mixer with remarks at 12pm 
  • Note for online participants: the only portion that will be online will be the remarks at 12pm for approximately 20 minutes.
