User Experience Design

Organizations need information experts who understand how people use information (at work, in civic engagement and at play), and can design new systems and services to create better information outcomes. The User Experience (UX) minor will train you to research how people use information in their lives and how to design new solutions to solve information problems.

Students enrolled in this minor will learn to:

  • analyze and design user experiences to solve a problem.
  • critically evaluate the roles and uses of information and technology in society.
  • design ethical and useful products that help people use information to better inform decision making.
