Peer to Peer Internship Networking
Peer to Peer Internship Networking
Friday, November 13th | 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Leinweber Building | Room 1125/1240
Are you nervous about networking and want more practice? Do you want to learn about how to successfully land a summer internship? Would you like to talk to someone who has been in your shoes and received an internship this past summer? Join us for Peer to Peer Networking! This event is built in a way that you can practice the basics of networking - small talk, how to ask good questions, how to have strong conversations about yourself. You will have an opportunity to practice these networking skills with students who have done things like completed successful internships, leveraged class projects, and lead student organizations. Gain some networking skills, get insights into how to land an internship and talk about your coursework with employers and alumni.
This in person event will feature BSI Seniors and 2nd-year+ MSI/MHI/MADS students who have successfully navigated a recent internship search in a diverse range of fields. Students have the opportunity to connect with their peers to practice networking while learning about many different internship outcomes in alignment with their career interests.
This event is part of the 500 Friday Sessions.
