As dean of libraries and university librarian at the University of Michigan, I lead and sustain the vision and strategy for a world-class library system in alignment with the university's strategy and vision.

About Small Group Networking Coffee Chats
You will meet with Dean Carter for 30 minutes in a small group of other UMSI students.

Network and make connections! These small group meetings are focused on having conversations to get to know each other and build a relationship. Discussion topics vary and can include: career decisions, career journeys, or what skills an organization might look for in an intern/new hire.

CDO Tip: Be ready to share your story and your interest in a concise, confident way. Put your best foot forward by doing research about the organization beforehand and coming prepared with thoughtful questions.
