Fall 2023 roster of Data Science/Computational Social Science seminar speakers announced

University of Michigan School of Information faculty have announced the speakers for the fall 2023 Data Science/Computational Social Science (DS/CSS) seminar series.
The DS/CSS seminar series brings together a vibrant and diverse community of scholars whose cutting-edge research in information science, computer science and the social sciences aims to broaden our understanding of important social and technological issues.
The events are scheduled for Thursdays at noon ET. All meetings will be held in the Ehrlicher Room, 3100 North Quad except for the seminar on Friday, Sept. 22 which will take place in North Quad 2255.
Like similar on-campus seminars, the DS/CSS series is discontinuing remote participation via Zoom. Exceptions will be made for remote Master of Applied Data Science students. Seminars will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube.
Organizers for the fall 2023 series are assistant professors Paramveer Dhillon and Sabina Tomkins.
Topics and abstracts will be announced on the UMSI website closer to each event.
