UMSI students: Ask the registrar

The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) registrar and student records team is hosting virtual drop-in office hours for current UMSI students. 

At each office hour, staff will be available to discuss topics including (but not limited to):

  • Registration
  • Curriculum
  • Degree audits 
  • Graduate student instructor/research assistant allocations
  • Student records management 
  • Course waivers 
  • Transfer credit for all UMSI degrees
  • Other administrative needs or events 

Drop-in office hours will take place from noon - 1 p.m. EST via Zoom. Noted are administrative events that students may want to discuss around these dates: 

  • Monday, Nov. 7 — Backpacking opens/registration appointments 
  • Monday through Friday, Nov. 14-18 — Winter ’23 registration
  • Monday, Nov. 21 — Last day of Master of Applied Data Science (MADS) Session 3 
  • Wednesday, Nov. 23 — Winter ’23 registration
  • Monday, Nov. 28 — MADS drop/add deadlines for Session 4
  • Wednesday, Nov. 30 — Winter ’23 registration
  • Monday, Dec. 5 — Graduation check-in
  • Wednesday, Dec. 7 — Winter ’23 registration
  • Friday, Dec. 9 — Residential programs: Last day semester (last day for drops/adds)
